Hidden Horsham - Festival 2006

The Horsham Town Centre Festival celebrated its 15th anniversary in October 2006. In an event spanning Thursday 26th to Saturday 28th Horsham opened it streets to traditional fairground rides and stalls and hosted a variety of street entertainers. The Battle of the Bands final took place on the Saturday evening. The weather was unseasonably warm and dry which lead to a successful few days

The photographs below reflect the event. Click on an image to enlarge it in a new window. Hidden Horsham has chosen to host these photographs due to the absence of any 2005 photos on the internet

The Ferris wheel erected in the Carfax opposite the Post Office. From the top there are views across the rooftops as shown in other photographs below. A long ride for just £1.50 per person. The ride was dismantled on Saturday evening, a task that took 3-4 hours

Two of these gliding Floatie Ghosties were apparent in West Street on Saturday. Mounted on invisible wheels and with electronically synthesised voices they mingled with the shoppers

This looks a bit safer. Here is Vinnie, the silent clown spinning the ball and placing it on the children's outstretched fingers

Success for Vinnie the Silent Clown and one of his many assistants!

Mrs Haversham strolled around the town centre. She kept herself to herself, walking slowly. Occaisionally she stooped and peered around with her magnifying glass

Outside the Crown this small boy was presenting Sparky the Robot with a medal which was gracefully accepted

Sparky the Robot moves on - but beware of his left arm which can squirt at you!
