Hidden Horsham - Listed Buildings
Horshams only listed ancient monument is the remains of early motte & bailley known as Chennels Brook. There is some evidence that the dry ditch (motte) was changed to water-filled moat by diverting a stream. It was abandoned and slighted sometime after 1150. It was never upgraded from wood and stone. This page records the 149 listed buildings in Horsham, and has been extensively updated in the spring of 2009. The original list contained 142 properties but new information from English Heritage has revealed buildings that were not picked up on the first search. These are highlighted in green. The properties have also been re-sorted and are now in road name alphabetical order
