Dixey CB Opticians are Horsham's longest serving opticians having set up shop in West Street in 1928. The jewellers Jury Cramp who opened in 1872 also sold glasses but closed for business in 1986

In common with many towns that had gaols and courts in the Middle Ages there is an element of cruelty and torment Horsham would not like to be remembered for. St Leonard's School in Oxford Road, Horsham is awaiting demolition at the time of creating this feature. As the crest on the front of the school shows it was opened in 1914
