English Festival

On Saturday the 10^th of May 2008 Horsham hosted its first English Festival. Timed to run on the same day as the Morris Dancers' Broadwood Day of Dance it was another success for the town and looks to become part of the calendar

The town already has run events for French and Italian markets so it seems fitting that it should look at little closer to home for this new event. The Broadwood Day of Dance has been celebrated every year in Horsham since 1992. That year marked the 21^st anniversary of the group and the pedestrianisation of the Carfax

In addition to the established dancing was the market of traditional English fare fully supported by the regular farmer's market

Street entertainers were also in evidence but managed to escape the lens of the Hidden Horsham camera
