Horsham Carfax Bandstand

This is the bandstand located in Horsham's Carfax, there is another one in the park. It was erected in 1892 but has moved slightly since then as a result of the pedestrianisation.
It was built by Walter Macfarlane & Co at the Saracen Foundry in Glasgow and refurbished in 1978 with funds raised by the Horsham Society to supplement council funding. In 1992 it was restored to its original colour scheme after the design was rediscovered in the museum archives. To commerate its centenary the two dates were engraved into the paving
Between the months of April and September there are perfomances from a range of bands each Saturday. The program for 2007 is available via the external links below
